THE “MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS" WILL PREMIERE LIVE ON MTV ASIA ON TUESDAY, 21 AUGUST AT 8.00AM (WIB) AND 9.00AM (SG/MY/PH). PRE-SHOW AND RED CARPET WILL BROADCAST LIVE AT 7:00AM (WIB) AND 8:00AM (SG/MY/PH). CATCH THE PRIMETIME ENCORE TELECAST ON THE SAME DAY AT 7.00PM (WIB) AND 8.00PM (SG/MY/PH).
SINGAPORE, 17 AUGUST, 2018 – MTV today announced the Backstreet Boys, Bazzi and Bryce Vine will perform live from the VMAs red carpet Pre-Show outside of Radio City Music Hall. The award-winning and internationally acclaimed rock band, Panic! At the Disco, will perform “High Hopes” from their sixth studio album “Pray for the Wicked” at the 2018 VMAs main show where it will live air across MTV’s global network of channels in more than 180 countries and territories, reaching more than half a billion households around the world.
Actor Terrence J., together with radio and TV personality Nessa, will host alongside Paul “Pauly D” Delvecchio and Vinny Guadagnino from “Jersey Shore Family Vacation.” Additionally, supermodel and activist, Winnie Harlow will serve as the red carpet fashion correspondent. To give fans an earlier start to the night, MTV will begin live streaming red carpet on Twitter, hosted by Justina Valentine from “Wild ‘N Out” and Erik Zachary.
Additionally, current PUSH artist, Bazzi, along with Hayley Kiyoko, Jessie Reyez, Juice WRLD and PRETTYMUCH, are set to perform on the first-ever VMAs PUSH Artist Stage. MTV’s “PUSH” campaign highlights emerging artists and connects fans across the globe with a new musician every month through live performances, exclusive broadcast premieres of music videos, interviews, video content and more across all platforms. Noah Cyrus was the first artist to kick off the return of program in May 2017 and Chloe x Halle are the July 2018 artists.
As previously announced, Jennifer Lopez will be honored with the “Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.” She is also set to perform at this year’s show for the first time since 2001. Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, Travis Scott, Post Malone and Logic with Ryan Tedder will also take the stage.
