SINGAPORE, 12 SEPTEMBER 2013 – Nickelodeon’s funny gals Jennette McCurdy (iCarly’s Sam Puckett) and Ariana Grande (Victorious’ Cat Valentine) are back as their iconic characters from iCarly and Victorious in the brand-new, spin-off comedy Sam & Cat, debuting Friday, 11 October, at 5pm (SG/MAL) and 6pm (PH). New episodes premiere Mondays to Thursdays at 4.30pm (SG/MAL) and 5.30pm (PH). Sam & Cat follows feisty Sam and flighty Cat as they become best friends and unlikely roommates who start a babysitting service. The series is created by award-winning executive producer Dan Schneider (iCarly, Victorious, Drake & Josh, Zoey 101).

Sam & Cat vaulted to the top in its debut week in the U.S. as TV’s top-rated kids’ show among total viewers from 6 to 9 June. Nickelodeon’s biggest live-action launch in three years, Sam & Cat also swept kid, tween and teen demos U.S. as number-one on Saturday, 8 June, among K2-11, K6-11, Tweens 9-14 and Teens 12-17. Sam & Cat is currently the network’s number-one live-action series, averaging 3.7 million total viewers in the U.S. since its launch.

“We’re very excited to have Jennette and Ariana come together for Sam & Cat. We know that fans have been eagerly waiting for the show to premiere in Asia,” said Elaine Tan, Vice President of Nickelodeon Brand, Viacom International Media Networks Asia. “Viewers will enjoy watching the duo’s amazing chemistry and comedic talents as they embark on a series of hilarious adventures as teen entrepreneurs.”

In the series premiere, total opposites Sam Puckett and Cat Valentine first meet when a wild predicament lands both girls in the back of a moving garbage truck. After quickly becoming friends and roommates, they find themselves babysitting three younger kids, which give Sam and Cat the idea to start Sam & Cat's Super Rockin' Fun-Time Babysitting Service.

Best known for her comedic portrayal of Sam Puckett on the mega-hit iCarly, McCurdy recently wrapped production on Nickelodeon’s forthcoming original TV movie Swindle. In addition to starring in the Nickelodeon original TV movie Best Player, McCurdy has also guest-starred on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Strong Medicine, Law & Order: SVU, Medium and Judging Amy.

Prior to garnering attention as the beloved character Cat Valentine on Victorious, Grande performed on Broadway in the musical 13. Her other acting credits include a feature role in Nickelodeon’s original TV movie Swindle and voiceover work on the animated Nickelodeon series Winx Club. Grande is also signed to Universal Republic Records, and her 2013 breakout single, "The Way" featuring Mac Miller, scored Grande her first Billboard Top 10 single. She recently performed at the 2013 “MTV Video Music Awards” pre-show last month.
